The holiday season is here again, and this year, we’re sending you a message different from past years. This year, we ask you to support independent LGBTQ+ presses like Rattling Good Yarns Press.
All you have to do is watch or read the news to see how the tone has changed. Book banning is rampant, and state legislatures are trying to pass anti-LGBTQ laws.
Small independent LGBTQ+ presses are doing important work. All of us are trying to get the voices of our diverse community out there and heard. All of us publish books passed over by large publishing houses.
Our mission here at Rattling Good Yarns Press is creative and political. Publishing LGBTQ+-themed books by LGBTQ+ authors is, in these times, a political act.
When buying gifts, we urge you to consider buying LGBTQ+ books. Supporting small presses like Rattling Good Yarns Press also supports authors who are putting themselves on the line and are at the forefront of making our voices heard. Your purchase will help shine a light during these dark times.
